Search a curated catalog of CAD-ready building plans. Choose what fits your project. Buy as-is for immediate digital delivery, or start a structured modification request if you need changes.

The process

Four steps from search to build-ready.

Search and browse

Use the AI-guided search or browse by plan type — house plans, garage plans, ADUs, barndominiums, small homes, and more. Filter by size, bedrooms, stories, and style to narrow results to plans that fit your project.

Choose a plan

Review floor plans, exterior images, included sheet counts, and specifications. Each plan page shows exactly what you receive with your purchase and whether the plan supports modification requests.

Buy as-is or request modifications

Purchase the plan for immediate digital delivery, or click Modify This Plan on the plan page to open the Modifications Wizard pre-loaded with that plan's data. Describe the changes you need and submit a structured change-order request.

Checkout and delivery

Complete the WooCommerce checkout for digital plan delivery. Modification requests are reviewed separately by the BuildingPlans.com team and are not an instant automated service.

About modifications

When to use the Modifications Wizard.

The Modifications Wizard is a structured intake form — not a general plan search tool and not a real-time CAD editor. It is started from a specific plan page after you have already selected a plan you want to modify. It captures your change requirements clearly so they can be reviewed and quoted properly.

Common modification requests include room dimension changes, window and door relocation, roof pitch adjustments, foundation type changes, and garage size changes. Not all plans support modification requests. Plan pages indicate whether modifications are available.
